DOUBLE BUBBLE HISTORY: The "Double Bubble" style clocks were produced in the 1950's and 1960's by the Advertising Products Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. In recent years they have become the most desirable of the collectable clocks of that era. Today many collectors of 50's memorabilia restrict their entire collection of clocks to only Double Bubbles. Several collectors have well over a hundred different logos, or graphics on these beautiful clocks. The "Double Bubble" clock has an inner dial which sweeps over the inner glass bubble and featured advertising, and the outer "crystal" or glass bubble usually features the numbers of the clock. Both globes are luminated from the rear with either two low wattage light bulbs or one florescent bulb. They measure approximately 15 inches in diameter.
